Policy for Management of Personal Information for Weekly Tips

This document describes the policy of makingchanges.com.au (a division of Dr. Timothy J. Sharp & Associates – “the practice”) for the management of personal information collected for the purposes of the weekly tips. This policy is consistent with the legal requirements of the National Privacy Principles from the Privacy Amendment (Private Sector) Act 2000.

Information collected

Personal information obtained from individuals registering for the weekly tips is held in a secure database, which is accessible only to employees of the practice. The information includes name, address, contact phone numbers, email address and areas of interest.

Purpose of holding information

The information is gathered and retained for the purposes of registering individuals to receive the weekly tips. The information may be used to inform recipients of the weekly tips of new services or products offered by makingchanges.com.au or the practice.

Requests for access to, or update or correction of information

At any stage, individuals who have registered for the weekly tips may request to see, or to have updated or corrected, the information about them kept by the practice. All requests by individuals for access or updating or correcting information held about them should be lodged with Ms. Naomi Hussey (Practice Manager) by email to info@makingchanges.com.au. These requests will be responded to within 14 days.

If you have a concern about the management of your personal information, please inform Ms. Naomi Hussey (Practice Manager). Upon request you can obtain a copy of the National Privacy Principles, which describe your rights and how your information should be handled.
